Football and fashion icon David Beckham turned heads aplenty this week when he was spotted on the streets of Marbella filming an advert for sportswear giants Adidas.
The British babe-magnet, 37, was the object of everyone’s attention as he jogged across the resort’s normally bustling Avenida Ricardo Soriano. With traffic at a standstill and his co-stars trying – but failing – to appear nonchalant in the superstar’s presence, Beckham looked rather at home in the Spanish sunshine.
After leaving Spain in 2007 following his move from Real Madrid to LA Galaxy, Beckham has long held an affinity and affection for the country and has often been spotted in Puerto Banús with wife Victoria.
With the Andalusian winter sunshine beating down on his handsome face, Beckham looked relaxed, fit, toned and happy as he joked with the production crew.
Spain has been a popular backdrop choice for adverts in recent years thanks to its beautiful architecture, dazzling sunlight and bevy of beautiful young things ready and willing to give their time as background extras. But this time, despite filming in the heart of the Costa del Sol’s most desirable district, all eyes were on David.
The Beckhams are currently causing quite the media storm throughout Europe as celeb commentators and sports journalists try in vain to second-guess their next move. The family is rumoured to be renting a 20 million pound pad in the exclusive heart of London as David and Victoria decide where their careers are to take them next.
There have been rumours that David will seek one final lucrative payday by signing for French Ligue Two outfit Monaco.
But if these latest pics are anything to go by, Sr. Beckham would be more than happy to sign on the dotted line for local La Liga giants, Málaga, especially since his in-laws are rumoured to own a property in Mijas.
If such a move were to happen, we’re safely betting that it would be more than just football fans on the Costa del Sol who would be over the moon…
