The stars of hit reality TV show The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) have begun their pre-Marbella summer preparations, looking to get beach ready with their famous ‘No Carbs before Marbs’ diet.
Every year the gang jets off to film a series of Marbella specials in time for summer, and this year is no different, with show regulars Billie Faiers, Ferne McCann and Bobby Cole Norris all reported to be getting into shape before the paparazzi descend on the beaches of Puerto Banús and begin snapping away.
The cast will also be hoping to check out co-star Elliott Wright’s new restaurant, which is set to open in Marbella before the summer season hits. Wright, father-of-two, already owns a restaurant in Alicante, and his children currently live in Spain…
The TOWIE star revealed on a recent episode that an opportunity has arisen to get his foot in the door in the lucrative Marbella restaurant circuit, and should the project prove successful, Wright will likely leave Essex for good to move permanently to Marbella.
Fans of the show will be glad to hear that on-off squeeze Chloe Sims has confirmed that she will be joining Wright in Marbella having finally come around to the Essex boy’s rather peculiar ways.
Sims and Wright will be continuing in the footsteps of a fine pairing between Marbella and members of the TOWIE cast. Long popular with the stars during their down time, the show’s producers hit upon the novel idea of writing Marbella into the script – with great success.
The TOWIE Marbella specials are among the most popular episodes of the show, with the sunny, glamorous backdrop a fine complement to the often fiery and feisty personalities on show.
In fact, TOWIE’s popularity has boosted Marbella’s tourism considerably in the past few years, with holiday booking website hotels.com revealing last year that there has been a 72 per cent increase in searches for Marbella holidays since the TOWIE Marbella special first aired.
