With their varied repertoire ranging from gospel to funk and blues, the Alabama Gospel Choir was formed in 1946 in America’s Deep South and since 2003 they have their own bronze star on the Alabama Music Hall’s Walk of Fame. One of the world’s best loved gospel choirs, for one night only the audience at Málaga’s Teatro Cervantes will be transported on a journey to the very roots of a genre that fuses the visceral with the spiritual. On their current tour of Spain, they’re joined by Grammy nominated soul singers Johnny Sanders and Francine Murphy.
Teatro Cervantes, Málaga, Monday 19 December 2011 at 9pm.
