How to find your ideal Costa del Sol property: myVIVA Alerts

Interested in buying a property on the Costa del Sol? 

What do you usually do? Well, what we all do, we search the internet for the type of property you want, the desired area... thousands of real estate portals will appear offering the same number of properties for sale: Fuengirola, Marbella, Mijas Costa, Benalmádena... So begin your search and good luck!

You are wrong..., VIVA offers you additional help and with no obligation, a personalised search tool so that you don't have to go one by one to all the real estate portals. This tool is called myVIVA alerts and we are going to show you how to get the most out of it.

1. First of all: create your myVIVA Account

Begin creating a myVIVA account, it is completely free. Already have a myVIVA account? Just sign in and follow us in step 2.

Once you have created your account and set up your password, go to the top right side of yourviva.com and click on "Sign in". Insert your email and password:

and you will be taken to the main myVIVA screen where we welcome you and suggest you create your first alert.

2. Let's create a new alert!

Easy so far? Now let's get to the fun part.

- Click on "Create alert", you will be taken to another page where you can set up your first search alert.

- First, give your search a name, sufficiently explanatory so that you can distinguish it from others you may create:

- Now choose the frequency with which you will receive notifications of new properties in the area: "daily", "weekly" or "monthly". If you don't want to miss out on new properties that we put on sale, we recommend that you set "daily", you will only receive once that property that has been added to our website 1 time, if you set the alert to "weekly" or "monthly" it is likely that when you go to see it, it will have been sold!

- Next we set the type of property you are interested in (be realistic, bargains are rare), adjust the price, number of bedrooms and bathrooms.

- Once you have set your preferences, we will choose the locations where our alert will search 24 hours a day; for our example, we will choose the whole area of Mijas and Mijas Costa. If you choose "I want to receive property alerts covering the whole of the Costa del Sol" it is possible that you will receive many emails every day, week or month with an endless list of properties, remember that the list of new properties is updated daily.

Finally, tick the field "I agree to the VIVA Privacy Policy*" and click on the "Create Alert" button.

And that's it! From now on you will receive in your inbox the new properties added to yourviva.com with the preferences you have previously set. We recommend that you add "[email protected]" to your address book as a safe sender to be sure you don't miss any of our messages.

You can create other alerts to monitor other types of properties and areas of the Costa del Sol. You can also edit these alerts in case the properties you receive do not match what you are really looking for.
