According to figures just released by the Ministry of Industry, Energy & Tourism in their latest monthly report, in February of this year no other Spanish region’s foreign tourism income came anywhere near that of Andalucía which registered a whopping rise of nearly 19 per cent – or to be exact, 18.6 per cent.
So, while overall figures for Spain in January and February showed a year on year increase of 9.1 per cent – hitting a 10-year high, Andalucía was simply streets ahead of the rest of the country!…The Spanish government highlighted the fact that the strength of the British market was key to Andalucía’s vastly superior performance, with Britons responsible for a hefty 25 per cent of the autonomous community’s total tourism revenue. The statistics also pointed up that in February, the average holiday spend per person increased by a very healthy 7.4 per cent.
