3 Reasons you should've gone to the fair

In this post, I wanted to showcase some of the brilliant moments of the Fuengirola International Fair 2019, as captured by our resident photographer Jorge.

I think it's fair to say a great time was had by all, the weather was great and the overall atmosphere was amazing. Beers, wines and cocktails from all over the world flowed as freely as plates of each country's gastronomical delicacies were handed over the counter, while international folk and popular music provided the soundtrack to the five-day event which finished last Sunday.

1. The fun of the fair

Ordering drinks at the Venezuelan stall...

The fair was awash with people, sights, smells and influences from all corners of the globe...

2. Food from around the world

The varied food at the fair ranged from Andalusian treats like barbecued sardines (espetos)... 

...to Argentinian grilled meats cooked to perfection...

...to other timeless classics like a gigantic paella!

3. Live music

Music also took centre stage at the Fuengirola fairground last week... 

...in all its styles and varieties and involving groups playing their country's typical instruments and wearing traditional dress.
