Justin Bieber is a big fan of Spain and reportedly supports Barcelona FC. He’s now a proud property owner, too.

Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber is not generally renowned for his great sense of taste or impeccable business nous, but last week he demonstrated both in snapping up one of Spain’s most desirable properties…

The 22-year-old superstar is now the proud owner of a stunning villa on Lanzarote, having fallen head over heels for the Canary island during a recent holiday with his girlfriend, 17-year-old Sofia Ritchie, daughter of Lionel Ritchie.

According to local reports, the property enjoys panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and across the rocky island, and is suitably remote for the world’s most famous popstar to relax at leisure.

The home was sold last week for a reported €5 million. A princely sum indeed, but Bieber has certainly got his money’s worth: the villa covers 2,000 square metres, has six bedrooms, five bathrooms and direct access to a private strip of beach.

Of course, the home also boasts a stunning outdoor swimming pool that also delivers exceptional, unspoilt views of the volcanic terrain.

Lanzarote has long been a popular tourist destination, but only recently has it begun attracting the world’s a-listers. Typically, the rich and famous head to Marbella to get their summer sunshine kicks, while Majorca has also turned Hollywood heads in recent years.

However, when it comes to luxurious properties, the type of jaw-dropping homes that only the world’s elite could ever consider purchasing, then the Costa del Sol is the undisputed Spanish region, boasting one of the world’s finest selections of stunning villas.
