It’s a rare day indeed that I willingly point you in the direction of another piece of writing about Spain. But sometimes others hit upon such a simple idea that there’s little I can do but sit back and applaud (well, in between a feverish bout of mental note-taking).
Liberal blog-cum-newspaper The Huffington Post this week piqued my interest with a devastatingly brilliant article on the wonders of Spain titled “20 Reasons to Drop Everything and Go to Spain”. It reads like one of those ever-popular Buzzfeed lists writ large and lovely: adorned with adorable images of Spain’s main draws, light on prose and heavy on hyperbole…
So if you are still on the fence about whether to make that dream move to Spain, or to purchase that Spanish property, or even book that Costa del Sol holiday, I urge you to take a look at the article.
Not only does it tempt you with bold and brilliant snapshots of Spain’s most famous attractions – beaches, mountains, tapas and gorgeous architecture – but it is also educational and, for the under-initiated, rather awe-inspiring too.
From the best restaurant in the world to the weird and wonderful sights that await in Salvador Dali’s house, it is a perfectly pitched run-through of what makes Spain such an endlessly fascinating and enjoyable destination.
And the best part? It doesn’t once mention the state of Spain’s economy, its labour market, its royal family, political unrest, Gibraltar, football…
