Moneycorp relocates from Puerto Banús to La Cala de Mijas

Last Wednesday’s party to celebrate the opening of Moneycorp’s new office in La Cala de Mijas had all the right ingredients to ensure a fun, memorable and enjoyable evening. Welcoming and friendly hosts, great company, live entertainment, yummy canapés washed down by good wine and to round it all off a raffle!

More than 100 guests – including many of Moneycorp’s private clients and business partners alike – attended the get-together on 24 October, with London-based CEO, Mark Horgan; Executive Director Commercial Foreign Exchange, Andrew Woolley; and Director Commercial Foreign Exchange, David Prenderville all flying in for the event.

Moneycorp have been on the Costa del Sol for nearly 10 years and Regional Manager, Stephen Tiley, explained that their decision to relocate from Puerto Banús to La Cala de Mijas was taken in order to grow their business still further. “There are plenty of holidaymakers in Puerto Banús” he said, ”but actually not that many expat residents. We only launched our La Cala office – from where we will continue to serve our clients throughout the entire Costa del Sol – on 8 October, but in just over two weeks 17 people have already walked in and opened either business or individual accounts with us, which is enormously encouraging.”

Guests chatted, joked, quaffed wine and nibbled on the nibbles provided by caterers DeliFreshGo, as David McLaughlan strummed the guitar and magician Papillon amazed everyone with his baffling card tricks.

VIVA’s Kristian Rubiano and Sean Vosper won the 3^rd and 2^nd prizes in the raffle – respectively a bottle of Moët and a coffee machine – while the 1^st prize, a hamper from M&S went to Magnus Sjobert.

Coincidentally just a few steps from VIVA’s new branch office in La Cala, and with plenty of convenient parking right on the doorstep, the new Moneycorp office – open Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 6pm – is located at C.C. Cala Sol, Boulevard La Cala, Edificio B, Local 10, La Cala de Mijas.
