Open house at VIVA’s brand new office in Málaga city

Getting 2015 off to a fine start, VIVA clients, associates, partners, guests and friends recently attended the inauguration of the latest addition to our expanding network of regional offices which, located right in the very heart of the capital of the Costa del Sol, opened its doors on 15 December.

The perfect hosts, VIVA Málaga Partners – Agustín González, Esperanza Cruz and José Cuadra – made everyone very welcome, and with time-honoured Malagueña hospitality it was a highly enjoyable and memorable evening for all, with good company, luscious sushi, mouthwatering tapas and no glass left unfilled!

Opening an office in Málaga – the sixth largest city in Spain – is an enormously significant and exciting step for VIVA. And the timing couldn’t be better, because having substantially reinvented itself over the last few years, the provincial capital is regularly making the headlines, as the international media effusively extoll its numerous virtues.

Mouthwatering tapas went down a treat!

With its magnificent historic monuments, mile-upon-mile of inviting urban beaches, fabulous shopping, burgeoning art scene and renowned as the gastronomic hub of southern Spain, it’s no surprise that Málaga is already well-established as a favourite city break destination for Northern Europeans. In fact, last year it beat all records hands down when according to Spanish provincial daily Diario Sur, over a million tourists holidayed in the city in 2014.

But just last September, it also emerged that according to a poll carried out by Urban Audit – a European Commission research group – Málaga was named ‘Spain’s most liveable city’, offering its citizens the best quality of life of all Spanish cities, and one of the highest in Europe.
