With temperatures still peaking at 20ºC and blue skies crowning the Coast everyday, it’s hard to believe that it’s that time of year already. But it’s true, and what’s more, the Spanish slopes are set to open their snowy doors a week earlier than planned for the 2013-2014 winter season.
That’s right, tomorrow (Saturday 23 November 2013) will see the chairlifts and gondolas of Sierra Nevada open once again giving us access to the central Borreguiles area including the nursery slopes and access back down to the village on the “Rio” piste…
Lift passes for this week in particular will be sold at a discounted rate of €25 per adult and €10 per child. Children under 6 and seniors of 70 years old will ski for free.
Weather forecasts are showing further drops in temperatures this coming week and with more snow forecast over the weekend! So be sure to keep an eye on the slopes with the live webcam feed on the Sierra Nevada website – http://en.sierranevada.es/estacion/en-pista/webcams.aspx
And why not check out our Jorge’s featured images from the 2012 Bond Sulayr Show to get you in the mood!
