Spanish property “more popular than ever”

Holding on to its number one slot on London-based overseas property portal TheMoveChannel.com, not only is Spain still Top of the Props in 2012, but the company also reports a huge 8.23 per cent increase in Spanish property enquiries in June of this year, compared with figures for the same period in 2011. In fact, they say that Spain’s popularity is now at its highest level since the Top of the Props chart began!

With Spanish property attracting more interest than that of any other overseas country, the platform reported that nearly one-fifth – 19.64 per cent to be exact – of all enquiries last month came from buyers looking for a home in Spain.

Meanwhile, despite the Eurozone’s economic crisis having resulted in investors turning to the US and Brazil in recent months, demand for those markets, together with France and Portugal, dropped off significantly in June.
