DomExpo international real estate exhibition Moscow

The 4-day event attracted more than 16,000 visitors

Over the years VIVA have created and produced our own uniquely branded programme of Spanish Property & Lifestyle Exhibitions, as well as taking part in dozens of international real estate exhibitions both at home and abroad. What with the property bubble bursting and the global recession kicking in, however, that was all quite some time ago now.

But the good news is that – having recently taken part in two property shows in Denmark and one in St Petersburg, followed just a couple of weeks ago by the DomExpo in Moscow’s Red Square – we’re now back on the exhibition trail once more…

Held at the landmark Gostiny dvor exhibition centre in the Russian capital, the 27th edition of the DomExpo international real estate exhibition took place from 18 to 21 October, with the 4-day event attracting more than 16,000 visitors and over 150 companies from Russia, Europe, Thailand, the USA and UAE all taking part.

Keynote speakers included His Excellency, Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Spain, José Ignacio Carbajál, who said, “We expect that more than 1 million Russian tourists will visit Spain in 2012, they now occupy the 4th place after holidaymakers from the UK, Germany and France. The number of Russians buying real estate in Spain has increased so much that the Russian media have started talking about having a home in Spain being natural and normal for many middle-class Russians.”

With VIVA sales consultant, Moscow-born Tatiana Eremicheva at the helm, and ably assisted by our promo team, the VIVA stand attracted masses of attention throughout the event, with hundreds of copies of our HOT Properties Magazine literally flying off the shelves, plus loads of Costa del Sol property enquiries, and the first of many Russian buyers flying over to view properties with us in November.

So, a successful result, especially since it’s the first time we’ve ever participated in a property exhibition in Moscow. Our initial exhibition plans for next year so far include various Scandinavian real estate shows and, it goes without saying… a return visit to Moscow!
