Anyway, according to ‘The Australian’, that’s what billionaire entrepreneur, property developer and host of ‘The Apprentice USA’, the flamboyant Donald Trump, told the 2,500+ estate agents attending the Australasian Real Estate Agents (AREC) conference on the Gold Coast, when he spoke to them last Sunday via a video link.

“Over the years I’ve done every conceivable thing to real estate agents,” said the outspoken Donald Trump, “including a time when I decided to cut them out on a beautiful building I was marketing, to try and save on the commissions. But I did learn the hard way that that was a bad idea. The sales I had, started to dry up. I found out the agents were telling people the building was no good. They weren’t stupid. Now I pay 7 or 8 per cent commission and go to the other extreme because it means people bring buyers to me, because I pay a better commission. It works.”

Coincidentally, it’s rumoured that Donald Trump’s ex-wife Ivana is one of a host of celebrities attending the 2nd edition of the Marbella Luxury Weekend extravaganza which takes place in Puerto Banús from 31 May to 3 June 2012.
